Did you know we’re only 6 handshakes away from every other person on Earth? We're closer to others than we might realize. 6 Letters to the End of the World makes our interconnectedness tangible by linking people in 6 steps at a time —through art, letters, and a cycling route.

This is more necessary than ever, as we increasingly live in a world of “us versus them.” Art creates space for genuine connection, and cycling networks connect people across borders.

That’s how Jordi Möllering from De Eenzamen —bicycle courier and theatre artist in the Dutch and Belgian provinces of Limburg— came up with the idea for 6 Letters.

6 Letters is a cross-border network of 6 mailboxes, designed by artists from the Euregion Meuse-Rhine. These mailboxes can be found at cultural hotspots and form an offline social network.

In 6 performances in august, september and october 2025, Jordi shares the urgency for connection and the magic of embracing the unknown. Guided by 6 letters from his audience, Möllering then cycles to the next performance.

This creates a cycling route of connection in the shape of the number 6. You can find this route in the mailboxes and on this website.

After the performances, Jordi heads east—towards the end of the world. During each performance, he takes one letter towards the east. Wherever he delivers a letter, he asks for a new one. Through 6 chains of 6 letters each, he tries to reach the end of the world. You can read about his journey in the letters he sends back to the 6 mailboxes.
