This project is an initiative of the Belgian theatre company De Eenzamen with six partners and six artists. It unfolds in the Euregions Maas-Rhine and Rhine-Meuse North. In august and september 2025 six performances will unveil six artistic mailboxes. Together they form a cross-border cycling route inviting passersby to pause, reflect and connect. ​After the performances, artist Jordi Möllering will set off on a poetic journey - cycling to the end of the world, delivering letters written by the audience.

Why?

We live in a digital age, increasingly polarized and disconnected. It's easy to lose sight of what unites us — our shared humanity, our need to be seen and heard.

We believe that when two people meet face-to-face they will find common ground. This project creates artistic and physical timespace for different people and perspectives to meet.

Why art?​

Art creates and time and space for wonder and imagination. It is a safe space where contradictions may coexist. Art is something all humans have in common.

Why cycling?

The bicycle is a humble machine — earthbound yet far-reaching. It connects people and places through quiet effort. It teaches that progress comes with perseverance. Cyclists can stop, talk and listen. Bicycles open doors and hearts.

Why letters?

Because a letter is more than ink on paper — it’s a gesture of affection. Letters take time to write and to deliver. Letters are meant for special people, people we want to dedicate time and effort to.
